No slide, Optic or Iron Sights are included with this service order. NCEngravers will not be responsible for sight damage during disassembly. 1911 sights are known for being tightly fitted from the factory and can be damaged during the removal process. If we damage the sight(s) (you will be notified) and they will be bagged and not reinstalled. We will not replace or reimburse for these damaged sights as this is a common problem with the 1911 model slides. Feel free to remove the sights prior to shipping if you have the time and tools.

This service is offered on the 4.25”, 4.5” and 5” model slides.

If you have any existing cutwork like barrel porting from a different vendor, sides shaved or windows then no services are offered. We will not process work on your slide if it already has aftermarket work done. Your order will be cancelled according to our policy and shipped back.

• Single Color Slide Cerakote is required if you have a steel slide.

• This service includes the disassemble and reassembly of your slide.

• The barrel will need to be refinished once it has been ported. Several Barrel finishes are offered like Cleanup, Polished, Satin finish can be done that will keep the barrel with a non-coated finish or if you provide a black barrel it will be recoat tin black cerakote (Free)

• We do not offer an option of doing just a cleanup on a black barrels. All black barrels will get a new black coating unless it is stainless and you pick satin which we will then do a raw satin finish on the barrel (will come back non-shiny with a raw stainless in color appearance).

• This service is not offered on any threaded barrels or aftermarket barrels. Must be a non-threaded factory barrel.

• We only offer Barrel porting on the 9mm/10mm/45acp models.

• We recommend you review current samples of the colors we provide. These will be the exact colors you can select during checkout. Those samples can be found here>>> COLOR SAMPLES <<<

• Current turnaround time for this service is 4-7 business days. Additional services such as other cutwork, specialty coatings, engravings, added parts coatings, and multiple orders will extend this turnaround time.

• For 9mm projects 124gr FMJ ammo is an industry standard, and we do recommend using it. However, most other ammo should cycle with our style porting. Keep in mind the market offers a wider variety of ammo and we can’t guarantee all ammo will cycle with 100% reliability and this is due to specialty ammo, old ammo, reloaded ammo, other things that may change the reliability can be upgraded or non-OEM recoil springs as our porting is designed around the factory barrel and spring. When porting other caliber weapons higher grain ammo is recommended for the first 100 rounds.

• Please ask if you have any questions BEFORE processing your order. If we receive your slide and the work can’t be done because the slide does not support the work, you will need to purchase a return shipping label as we will not cover the return shipping. We suggest you ask any/all questions before processing your order to prevent any miscommunication.

• This service is not offered on STI/Staccato/Bul Armory/Sig Sauer/Dan Wesson/Wilson Combat models. If you have a firearm the has a MSRP value over $1200 then it is not offered.

• we only offer our Hive type of porting, we do not offer round holes, V style, Chunk porting.

• We recommend you buy a multi-pack recoil spring kit for proper testing and tuning once you get it back.
